In 2010, husband and wife, Gareth and Kez Broad moved to Mississippi and subsequently became the founders and management of Noggins Salon, now a Top 200 salon in the USA.
Having traveled between America and Europe over the years in search of various hairdressing techniques they spent several years training with Toni & Guy salons in England. Realizing the demand for further education in the beauty industry they founded a curriculum which combines the knowledge of the finest hairdressing education the industry has to offer with Aveda products to provide a more natural alternative for today’s modern client.
An important principal of our education is based on providing an architectural shape and structure to hair that our clients can recreate independently. Each member of the Noggins team goes through our extensive training program to reach this level of precision hair cutting by participating in ongoing education classes. This ensures consistency throughout our teams work.

As important as the haircut is, we teach every client to care and maintain their own style outside of the salon environment. By providing education on hairs nutritional needs and analyzing the condition of hair we are able to prescribe the very best in Aveda products and hair care advice for use at home. Each prescription is unique and optimized for the individual. The naturally derived and organic ingredients that are found in Aveda’s products are instrumental in providing natural solutions for our clients as these products are free of parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfates and other harsh components found in many other professional brands. Freeing the hair & scalp of such can reduce shedding, breakage, oil build up and dry hair, among other issues.
The coloring techniques we use enable us to apply color more efficiently and more accurately, delivering consistent results all while utilizing Aveda’s 98% naturally derived hair color which contains conditioning certified organic botanical oils - sunflower, castor and jojoba - instead of petrochemicals. The techniques we implement and natural color we use produce less abrasive effects on the hair making our color virtually damage free.
